The "pinks and greens" army uniform was introduced as a proposed replacement for the Army Service Uniform (ASU) in 2018. It draws inspiration from the iconic World War II-era "pinks and greens" uniforms, which were worn by the US Army from the late 1930s to the early 1950s. Our new ASU’s will be Continental Army outfits that date back to the Revolution. Every Soldier is to be issued a blue petticoat, white britches, a colonial hat, buckled shoes, white tights, and so forth. Every Officer and Warrant is to also be issued a wig, including the females.
