I have the similar issue, I noticed that I had enabled secure search and my antivirus software choose yahoo. I saw mcaffee next to yahoo search engine option in google chrome settings. I changed the option in "Search engine used in the address bar" to google instead of secure search. Okay so I bought a Dell recently..
