Adjust proportioning valve

A few weeks ago ford replaced the proportioning valve on my taurus due to a clunk when i hit the brakes. Come to find out the rod that connects to the control arm had detached from the assembly. Now it seems to be doing the same thing again. And as before the brake pedal seems to be near floor just to make the car stop normally..
