Just my experience, the 327/300 cam is way too mild for any performance. Even the 327/350 is pretty mild and works with stock converters and taller gears. One of the only original parts that I kept under the hood after the swap was the Radiator. Now, the power difference of my new engine is extremely evident.The COMP CL12-602-4 is the best performance cam for 350 chevy and is a great choice for your street car. This camshaft has a 243/257 duration at .050″ and a 107-degree lobe separation angle. The most common factory small block cam from the old days was the stock cam from a 283, 327/250 hp/275 hp/300 hp, and some early 350 engines. It was flat tappet and had similar duration specs. I think you can still buy a repro of that cam.

How Difficult to install and might take more than 90 minutes. Edelbrock 1406 EPS is the best carburetor for Chevy 350 due to its incredible features and a 90-day warranty.
