Period. I also have a Prodigy 1911DS running irons. I have an optic (Vortex Hex Dragonfly)for it but haven’t installed it yet because I simply shoot it so well with the irons. Sig was really smart to change up the 226 a bit with positive enhancements, especially with the cost of the lineup rising and rising.
