Before I knew that I should use grease, not oil, to lubricate the slide of my Beretta PX4 Storm Subcompact, the only ammo that was 100% reliable in my gun was Spear Gold Dot 9mm 124 grain hollow point. Everything else, even Federal, would fail at least sometimes. Blazer Brass was the worst I tried - lots of failures to feed.I have a Taurus g3c that I got over the holiday season, noticed last night that it is having an issue feeding the first 3/4 shells while trying to rack it through, after that it goes smooth. Put 100 rounds of blazer ammunition through it with no issues, so thinking it might be the ammo, currently have Hornady hollow points in it.Some Ammo would not feed, and also some cases would get stuck in the chamber. Oil completely and take it to the range with target ammo first. After using a couple boxes then try hollow points. The jagged edges of hollow points make it much easier to catch an edge and grab the barrel preventing a proper load.Load the magazine 1 less than maximum capacity, and see if you still have chambering problems. If the issue still exists lock back the slide and try a different magazine in the weapon. Load up the mag with a full 8 rounds, put it in the gun and it jammed. The round didnt even come out of the mag, it just hit the feed ramp and stopped. Took a couple out of the mag and tried again and it fed this time. Tried with 7 in the mag and it loaded again.
