Fast forward to 4:15 AM when I went out to go to work, clicked on key, nothing, unlocked door with key, no interior lights, nada, tried to start and nothing, no lights, no sounds, not a damn thing ...RAV4 Hybrid Starting Issues. I have a 2018 RAV4 Hybrid. For the last several months, I've had an issue with it not starting correctly. When you put your foot on the brake and press the start button, the ignition comes on, but not the "ready" light. Should make a solid blue spark when cranking. If you get spark it could be your timing belt.Unscrew the nut that holds the wire on to the terminal of of the fuse block (see the image in my first post). Disconnect the white plug.I think I used a screwdriver to release it. Then slide that down and away from your battery. Toyota mentioned that the non-start issue could be related to a bad brake switch. Closin up but installed battery backwards, quickly corrected battery install. Engine turns but won't start. Like its not firing or getting any gas.
