Help confused about how much trans fluid the 68RFE takes. I did a search and everything i could find says doing a filter and fluid change should take around 6-7 quarts. well i dropped the pan and let it drain while i went to town to get the fluid etc. i was gone around a hour and a half. so i got the filters changed and the trans pan put back ...Well, they've redesigned the 2019 Cummins 6.7 in the RAM trucks, hence the new lubrication specs. If you fill to that plug then it should have 4.75 quarts but me and most others will recommend putting 6 quarts in so you dont run the bearings dry if you tow heavy.
