I'd suggest to avoid putting any lube on the barrel locking lug other than the lightest film of gun oil. If the shotgun fits you well without it, the only reasons I know of to get one with an adj comb are: it might make it easier to sell down the line, and, if you ever have the desire to shoot trap, just raise your comb to get it to shoot a little high, as most trap guns are set up to do.725 is a nice shotgun, buy it. That is a gun that will be in your family for generations and a few hundred more you won't even notice in 5 years. I say that and I'm assuming by your comments it felt better, if the CX feels better than buy it.
