THe screen you are referring to is the Home Network screen ( and mine does not look like this). THe screen I am referring to is the Smart Home Manager APP. I have attached a screen image. The password always shows. There is no option to hide. I forgot to say that to get to this screen, click on MY WIFI. ( edited).
