Phosphated barrel vs. Nitride. Distinct from an earlier thread on phosphating itself, I am thinking of a phosphate SPARE for my P226 WG. I don't think I'll wear out the original, but would like a spare. I like the chrome lining of the Mk 25, mainly because its easier to clean and just as durable as nitride, but DO like the way the new SIG ....

Criterion has some 4150 nitrided barrels, but IMO for an accuracy build with a 16" barrel over 32 oz. you want stainless nitrided.
