That and with a typical 6" lift the springs are 8-10" longer than stock, shackle flips don't require longer springs which means less flex. Also with the shackle at 90* you get much droop. And they can make a spring that will sit the same height but have the same towing capacity as the stock springs or have even more just depends on what you tell them you want.What are BBCS springs? I think Alcan springs would be the best choice,they offer 0'' lift 6 spring pack that consist of a torque spring to control axle wrap.I used stock, (USA made) Alcan springs, w/stock length, greasable shackles on my '83 CJ5. I think the Alcan are high quality springs. They fit perfectly, and ride well (as well as a stock, CJ can) w/stock, Gabriel shocks. I recommend you inspect the front, spring, mount plates closely. Stock, they are very thin, and warp, and or crack over time.Our production springs don't always meet the criteria of every user so we offer custom springs for those cases.
