Feb 22, 2016 · I have a '06 John Deere 5425 that is hard to start after it sets in the barn for more than 4 or 5 days. Recently we had to split the tractor and replace the starter ring gear. The work was done at a dealer and afterwards this problem resulted. Sometimes it takes as long as 15 seconds to get the fuel up to the injector/pump and start.We would like to show you a description here but the site won't allow us.The clutch problem is supposed to be 4-5000 hrs (guaranteed to not last longer).
